SDK for Digital Health Applications

Save time and jump start your development while increasing productivity and efficiency. In recent years, digital health saw significant technological advances. Due to the availability of advanced technologies and the spread of COVID-19, mHealth is rapidly gaining popularity. mHealth is an entirely new way of patient interaction with a doctor. Making medical care more accessible for patients reduces the workload of routine operations for healthcare specialists, which allows spending more time on diagnosing and treating various diseases.

One of the Gini-Apps' customers is a leading developer of diagnostic kits for lateral flow tests. (Lateral flow tests are simple devices intended to detect the presence of a target substance in a liquid sample without the need for specialized and costly equipment. These tests are widely used in medical diagnostics for home testing, point of care testing, or laboratory use).

The project challenges:

1. Develop an app that can process and diagnose patient's status based on image-processing and AI. 2. Develop SDK for this app to be embedded in the applications of national healthcare services providers.

The results:

Gini-Apps has developed an application that can process the used test kit image and provide a more accurate detection than a human eye can. The SDK embeds this app directly in the UI of the national healthcare service provider. This way, the user doesn't have to download and use a separate app for lateral flow testing. Instead, he can access the testing app from the healthcare services provider's app, which is already installed on his smartphone. Once the user completes the testing, the app analyzes the image and uploads the test results and the user data to the healthcare services provider's cloud. It is then sent to a clinician who makes an official diagnosis and follows up with the patient.

SDK Benefits for Healthcare Industry:

Adopting new apps can be challenging; users can experience a hard time using the app or remembering a password. 1. By embedding the app SDK within an existing app, you can quickly introduce additional app features. 2. Save time and jump start your development while increasing productivity and efficiency.
